Maybe never before had a rendition of “Take Me Out to the Ball Game” had more meaning for Alyssa Vigliotti. As a first-year student at the Penn State College of Medicine, she launched a research project to evaluate whether a creative storytelling program had benefits for people with dementia. Called TimeSlips, the program uses pictures that prompt participants to create stories about the image. Or, in this case, break into song.
